The Earthshot Prize 2025 Nomination

We are proud to announce that Impact Playground has been selected as an official nominator for the Earthshot Prize 2025—a global search for the most groundbreaking solutions that repair and protect our planet. This is a remarkable opportunity for us to identify and support local changemakers whose proven solutions are ready to create greater impact.

We believe that the most transformative solutions often come from those closest to the problem. At Impact Playground, we’re on the hunt for bold, creative, and impactful ideas from local innovators who are tackling the world’s biggest environmental challenges. Whether you’re regenerating ecosystems, fighting climate change, or pioneering new ways to reduce waste, we want to hear from you.

As a nominator, we’re doing things a little differently. Impact Playground has always been about elevating local voices—those who are often underrepresented but are making an outsized difference in their communities. Our approach is driven by intentionality: we are committed to finding solutions that are inclusive

Launched in 2020, The Earthshot Prize is an ambitious global prize and platform for impact, designed to discover, celebrate and scale the best solutions to help repair our planet.

The Earthshot Prize will consider solutions which make tangible progress towards one of the five Earthshots. They should be beyond idea stage, have tested their solution in-field or with target audiences, and are at a ‘tipping point’ for scaling their impact within the next five years.

The Earthshots are:

1. Protect and Restore Nature
2. Clean our Air
3. Revive our Oceans
4. Build a Waste-Free World
5. Fix our Climate

Five selected winners of the Earthshot Prize will receive £ 1 million each and all 15 finalists will enter the Earthshot Fellowship Programme for a year of dedicated support. Finalists and Winners are given an incredible platform to amplify their own work, and are offered tailored support from the Earthshot Prize and their vast network of NGOs, businesses, governments, funders and expert mentors.
