The Asia Solidarity Lab Fellowship invites junior campaigners, organizers, and advocates to join a transformative program designed to empower emerging leaders in climate justice. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to deepen skills, expand networks, and contribute to a collective vision for a just and sustainable future, emphasizing climate citizenship to bridge global solidarity.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to Asian junior campaigner or youth activists. Yet no age limitation for all applicants. Anyone with background on any of the following can apply to be part of the Asia Solidarity Lab Fellowship:
- Human rights and climate justice:Â strong background in human rights advocacy, experience in advocating for the rights of communities affected by climate impacts and incorporating the lens of intersectionality into climate advocacy efforts
- Finance campaign:Â knowledge of climate financing mechanisms and grasp of the complex landscape of climate finance, including funding sources, investment opportunities, and financial instruments
- Just transition:Â knowledge of the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of energy transition and experience working with communities to ensure equitable outcomes
- Advocacy and organising:Â experience in stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, grassroots support mobilization, and driving impactful campaigns
How to Apply and Other Key Information
To apply for the Asia Solidarity Lab, interested applicants must complete this application form before 30th June 2024. Other key information includes:
- Timeline: Application is accepted until 30th June 2024, and selected applicants will be notified by 26th July 2024.
- Duration: Once selected, the fellows will participate the program between August – November 2024 with mix of online and in-person program.
- Benefits: The program provides a transformative experience for selected Asian youth activists, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead climate action and foster community care. Additionally, if possible, the program will support selected proposal from the completion of the fellowshop program toward FY2025.
